Warehouse and distribution modeling and strategy implementation

A global MRO distributor wanted to enter China and needed a local distribution point to effectively serve their customer base.  The US client had no managerial workforce in China to oversee the implementation and roll out of their strategic warehouse operations and sought a local partner to manage the process on their behalf. Alaris led efforts to:


  • Assess selected service providers strengths and opportunities for operational improvement

  • Define and implement improvement initiatives through client defined training programs and SOP reviews

  • Manage the IT integration between warehouse operations and client’s inventory management track and trace systems via the development of EDI message interface sets from requirements gathering phase, through testing to go live

  • Develop training materials, coordinate activities, and facilitate training of warehouse operations personnel with client trainers

  • Evaluate reporting requirements of client and work with warehouse operations to develop and implement necessary reports

  • Monitor operator performance and data transmission quality after go live through pre-set KPI scorecard assessments
